Dr. Tawfic Swaid is a triple board-certified ophthalmologist (German, European, and Jordanian Boards), trained at Heidelberg University Hospital in Germany, one of the world’s leading eye care centers.
With extensive experience in both Germany and Jordan, Dr. Swaid is a trusted eye surgeon specializing in:
• Cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens (IOL) implants.
• Laser vision correction (Contoura Vision, LASIK, Femto-LASIK).
• Keratoconus management and advanced corneal Cross-Linking treatments.
• Retinal disease diagnosis and treatments (laser therapy, intravitreal injections).
He is a member of the German Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (DGII) and a founding member of the German-Arab Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Swaid is also passionate about raising public awareness of eye health, emphasizing early detection and prevention of vision-threatening conditions.

Started Ophthalmology Residency
Began formal specialty training in ophthalmology at Augenzentrum Nordwest Ahaus, gaining a strong foundation in clinical and surgical eye care.
2014–2017
Advance Ophthalmology Residency
Completed advanced specialty training in ophthalmology at Heidelberg University Hospital, one of the world’s most prestigious eye care and research centers.
